18ct Yellow Gold Floral Necklace
This special pendant has been matte hand finished and is suspended from two gold rings through which the chain is threaded.
This piece is an ode to nature and was inspired by my horticulturist grandfather, Walter Arthur Tobias. After serving in the RAF during World War II, Walter returned to Northern Ireland and took up the position of head gardener to the estate of the Duke of Abercorn, the late Lord Hamilton. Then in 1953 he accepted a position as director of the Royal Tasmanian Botanical gardens and so moved his family (consisting of his wife Edith May, my father and his three siblings) all the way to Hobart... where they lived happily ever after.
Chain: 51cm mirror-trace chain, carabine clasp
