Palladium Rose Cut Diamond Band
This elegant little ring is a dreamy modern take on the classic buckle ring. The rose cut diamond pair have been corner bead set and a special matte hand finish has been applied to the palladium.
Buckle rings became popular in 19th century Victorian Britain, though their history harks back to the foundation of the Royal Order of the Garter by King Edward III in 1348, around the time of his claim to the French throne. It is the world's oldest national order of knighthood in continuous existence and as an order of chivalry, is considered the highest honour a British Monarch can bestow. Symbolically the garter represents binding loyalty and brotherhood, as well as the holding of the memory of a loved one close. From this the buckle ring evolved as a symbol of eternal love, loyalty, strength and protection.
